Watch Hunter X Hunter and JoJo on Netflix before it’s too late

As with any other streaming service, Netflix US is recycling its content to bring in new shows, but with that come series going away. This time around, Season 1 through 4 of Hunter X Hunter are getting the boot from the service alongside Season 1 of JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure.

There is some mixed reporting, however. While Netflix-obsessed What’s On Netflix claims that all four seasons are leaving, Anime News Network is hesitant to say that’s the case. They note that they couldn’t confirm that all four seasons were getting axed from the service.

JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure initially hit Japan back in 1993, electing a meager two seasons. In 2012, a new version of the series was made and went to the west with an English dub back in 2015 where it currently continues to this day. Hunter X Hunter originally aired in 1999, the series found a following, enough of one to warrant a recreation trimming much of the fat and other stuff back in 2011. This version is the one getting the boot.

Fear not, though, there are still plenty of options to get your HXH fix, albeit often in single seasons, but the likes of Roku, Tubi, and Hulu all stream the series in some fashion. JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure, on the other hand, is actually more complete elsewhere like Crunchyroll, VUDU, Pluto TV, and Tubi.

Both series are going to get booted off Netflix US on March 7.

Anime Quarterly has reached out to Netflix about this disparity and will update this post if we receive a response.
