Detective Conan ( or Case Closed in the west) is still on-going, but with such a legacy behind it, it was sure to find spin-off mangas in a similar vain to Cells at Work! Baby. Sure enough, it did and now Detective Conan: Zero no Tea Time and Detective Conan: Hannin no Hanzawa-san are both receiving the anime adaptation treatment.
The two manga were created by Takahiro Arai and Mayuko Kanba respectively. While Hannin no Hanzawa-san offers up a more light-hearted spin-off, focused on the silhouette viewers see during the crime being committed, Zero no Tea Time follows National Police Agency Security Bureau Security Planning Division’s Rei Furuya. All the while, he’s undercover for the Black Organization as Bourbon and as as private investigator, Toru Amuro.
